M-TT PARTICIPANT WAIVER & TRAINING AGREEMENT

By enrolling in an M-TT training, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Participation in Physical Activity

I understand that M-TT teacher trainings involve physical movement, including Pilates, Barre, exercise demonstrations, practice teaching, and other physical activities.

I understand that physical activity carries inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle soreness, strains, sprains, falls, or other injury.

I agree to participate within my own abilities and to modify or stop an exercise if I experience pain, discomfort, dizziness, or any other concerning symptom.

I understand that I am responsible for informing the instructor of any physical limitations or concerns that may affect my participation.

2. Health & Medical Responsibility

I understand that M-TT and its instructors are not providing medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

I am responsible for determining whether participation in the training is appropriate for me and agree to seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional when necessary.

I understand that M-TT instructors cannot assess my individual medical condition or determine whether a particular exercise is medically appropriate for me.

3. Assumption of Risk

By participating in the training, I voluntarily assume the ordinary and inherent risks associated with physical activity and participation in a teacher-training environment.

I agree to take reasonable responsibility for my own safety and wellbeing throughout the training.

4. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I release and hold harmless M-TT, its instructors, contractors, assistants, representatives, and participating venues from claims arising from my voluntary participation in the training, except where such limitation is not legally permitted.

I understand that this agreement does not remove or limit any rights or protections that cannot legally be waived under applicable Québec law.

5. Equipment & Property

M-TT provides equipment and other materials for participants to use during the training. Participants are expected to treat all equipment, studio property, and training materials with care and respect.

I agree to use all equipment only as instructed and for its intended purpose.

I understand that I may be held financially responsible for the repair or replacement of equipment or property that I damage through misuse, negligence, intentional damage, or failure to follow the instructor's instructions.

I understand that I will not be responsible for normal wear and tear or damage resulting from proper and intended use of the equipment.

If damage occurs, M-TT may assess the reasonable cost of repair or replacement and communicate the amount to me. Payment for such damage will be my responsibility.

I agree to immediately notify an M-TT instructor if I notice damaged, defective, or unsafe equipment rather than continuing to use it.

6. Attendance & Certification

I understand that enrolling in an M-TT training does not automatically guarantee certification.

To receive certification, I must successfully complete all required components of the program, which may include:

  • Required training hours

  • Attendance

  • Practical participation

  • Assignments and case studies

  • Internships and observation

  • Examinations or assessments, where applicable

  • Any other requirements communicated by M-TT

If I am unable to meet the certification requirements, M-TT may determine that additional work, make-up hours, or another form of completion is required before certification is granted.

7. Training Materials & Intellectual Property

All M-TT manuals, course materials, videos, presentations, exercises, teaching resources, and other educational content are the intellectual property of M-TT and/or their respective creators.

These materials are provided for my personal educational use.

I agree not to:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or sell M-TT materials

  • Share course recordings or videos without permission

  • Upload training materials to public or private platforms

  • Share or distribute training manuals or course content with individuals who are not enrolled in the training

  • Use proprietary M-TT materials to create or teach another teacher-training program without written permission

I understand that completing the training does not transfer ownership of M-TT's intellectual property to me.

8. Photography & Video

M-TT may photograph or record portions of the training for educational, documentation, or promotional purposes.

Media consent is optional, and you will be prompted to provide consent or not at checkout.

Your choice regarding promotional media will not affect your ability to participate in or complete the training.

9. Respectful & Professional Conduct

I agree to contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and professional learning environment.

I agree to treat instructors, assistants, models, and fellow participants with respect and professionalism.

M-TT reserves the right to address behavior that is disruptive, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise incompatible with maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.

10. Confidentiality & Participant Privacy

I agree to respect the privacy of fellow participants and not share personal information, private discussions, or personal experiences disclosed by another participant during the training.

I understand that some training activities may involve practice teaching, observation, or receiving feedback from other participants.

I agree not to photograph, record, or share another participant's participation or personal information without their permission.

11. Cancellation, Payment & Transfer Policy

I understand that my enrollment in an M-TT training is confirmed once the required deposit or payment has been received.

Deposit

The initial deposit is non-refundable and is used to secure my place in the training.

By submitting my deposit, I understand that my place is reserved specifically for me and that the deposit cannot be refunded if I later decide not to participate but can be transferred to a future training instead.

Payment Plans

If I choose a payment plan, I agree to complete all scheduled payments according to the payment schedule provided at registration.

The full training tuition must be paid in full no later than one (1) month before the training start date.

If the training begins on October 17, for example, the full balance must be paid by September 17.

Failure to complete payment by the required deadline may result in the loss of my place in the training, subject to M-TT's applicable policies.

Cancellation & Withdrawal

If I choose to withdraw from the training after registering, my deposit remains non-refundable.

Any additional payments or amounts paid beyond the deposit will be handled according to the cancellation terms communicated by M-TT at the time of registration.

M-TT reserves the right to offer a transfer or credit toward a future training at its discretion and subject to availability. A transfer or credit is not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing by M-TT.

Training Cancellation or Changes by M-TT

If M-TT must cancel or substantially modify a training, participants will be notified and any applicable refund, transfer, or credit will be handled in accordance with M-TT's policies and applicable Québec law.

I acknowledge that I am responsible for reviewing the applicable cancellation and payment terms before completing my registration.

12. Acknowledgement & Agreement

By registering, I confirm that:

  • I have read and understood this agreement.

  • I have had the opportunity to ask questions before participating.

  • I understand the physical nature of the training.

  • I voluntarily choose to participate.

  • I understand that certification is subject to completing M-TT's requirements.

  • I agree to use M-TT equipment and property responsibly.

  • I understand that I may be financially responsible for damage caused by misuse, negligence, intentional damage, or failure to follow instructions.

  • I agree to respect M-TT's training materials and intellectual property.

  • I agree to follow M-TT's policies and professional standards.
